Louisville Fire Fighters Endorse Healey for Sheriff
The Louisville Professional Fire Fighters Union, Local 54 of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) proudly endorsed Steve Healey in his campaign for Jefferson County Sheriff:
On behalf of the Louisville Professional Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 54, we are proud to formally endorse Steve Healey for the office of Jefferson County Sheriff.
Our organization represents the dedicated men and women who protect the lives and property of the residents of Metro Louisville every day. As professional fire fighters, we understand that public safety depends on strong, principled leadership-leaders who value integrity, service, and collaboration across all emergency services. We believe that Healey embodies these very principles.
The IAFF brand is built on more than a century of trust, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to community. When we lend our name and support to a candidate, it is because they have demonstrated a clear respect for those values and a genuine dedication to the people they serve. We do not take that responsibility lightly.
Throughout his law enforcement career, Healey has shown a consistent commitment to fairness, accountability, and the safety of both the public and the first responders who protect it. We are confident that under his leadership, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office will continue to strengthen partnerships between fire, EMS, and law enforcement, ensuring a safer and more unified community for all.
